The former Premier League, the Champions League final and World Cup referee Mark Clattenburg declare that Wilmar Barrios should have been sent off for Jordan Henderson.
The incident occurred just moments after England won a free kick at the edge of the Colombian surface.
As Kieran Trippier lined up to take a free kick, Henderson and Wilmar Barrios scrambled into the wall.
Barrios and Henderson stood side by side when the Colombian midfielder plunged his head into the chest of Liverpool midfielder.
He then turned his head in Henderson's face, with England players appealing to referee Mark Geiger.

However, the referee did not consult the screen himself and he instead listened to his colleague who gave the order to give Barrios a yellow card
A decision with which Clattenburg did not agree
"It is clear that England does not do justice to the VAR system". "There is a clear altercation."
"What will happen is that the video referee would have considered this because the referee did not see it. And what you can see on this video, it is that the defender put his head in the chest of Jordan Henderson, so I think it is a yellow card.

Despite the altercation taking place in the surface, Clatternburg added:" What is important is that it is not a penalty because the ball is not in play and therefore the good restart should be a free kick.
