Manchester United have reportedly been hit with an injury blow ahead of their trip to Chelsea on Sunday.
Marouane Fellaini limped out of training on Wednesday and has left Jose Mourinho sweating on his fitness, report The Sun.
The Belgian apparently pulled up with an ankle problem towards the end of the session having trained despite returning from international duty under the weather.
Fellaini has featured in every Premier League game so far this season, starting four and coming on as a substitute in the other four.
Mourinho is desperate for a result on his old stomping ground amid pressure following an indifferent start to the campaign.
Upon Fellaini’s return from Belgium duty, before the reported training injury, his international boss Roberto Martinez allayed fears over Fellaini’s fitness after the midfielder missed the 1-1 draw against Belgium on Tuesday night.
Martinez said: “He should be fine, it’s just he wasn’t 100 per cent. He’s got an important game at the weekend and this wasn’t the game to use players who weren’t 100 per cent.
“We expect he should be fine in the next couple of days.”
