Monaghan welterweight Aaron McKenna recorded a second round knockout victory over Abel Reyes at Fantasy Springs Casino in California last night.
A hard body shot floored Reyes in the first round and defined the fight.
Reyes bravely got up and saw out the round but McKenna produced another clean punch to the ribs in the next that again saw him hit the canvas and the referee called off the fight.
McKenna moves to 6-0 with four knockouts.
He has targeted fighting for lower level belts next year.
