Emporio Armani has announced a new smartwatch that includes features that were missing from the first-generation watch we saw coming out last year. The new watch is called Emporio Armani Connected 2018.

Unlike the first generation, this new watch comes with a heart rate tracking device, NFC compatibility for Google Pay and GPS tracking to monitor your position. It is also equipped with Wear OS, which is a brand new Android Wear 2.0 software, but Google is expected to bring new features in the near future. It will work with your iPhone if it runs on iOS 9.3 or higher, while Android users will need Android 4.4 or higher.

The Google Assistant is also integrated, so you will be able to ask questions directly on your wrist. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset that powers the Emporio Armani Connected, which is the same technology as that of the first generation of each brand's watch.

It's also waterproof so you can take them in a pool lengths with third-party Wear OS applications
