Ninja fans will not stop joking about Ligma, a fake hoax of the disease

Being a celebrity in 2018 is an issue of access: people want influencers to constantly create new content, or they expect regular interaction from fans. The YouTube gold standard is the daily download, while the Twitch broadcasters are broadcast for hours. Tyler's "Ninja" Blevins is therefore disconnected from the track last week for part of the day. Fans wondered if anything had happened to him. It was then that a troll intervened to "explain" the situation.

The Instagram account "Ninja Hater" is aptly named and creates a terrible Photoshop that puts the extraordinary Fortnite alongside deceased figures such as Michael Jackson and Tupac. That was obviously wrong – the appended legend read, "allows to make false news", which means that the user wanted people to believe that Blevins had died during his brief demise. Sure enough, the next day another Instagram account rested the picture and said that they could not believe that Blevins had died of ligma.

Ligma, for the record, is not a true medical condition. In fact, it's a joke: the whole problem is that people do not know what that is, so when you mention it, they'll probably ask, "What's what ligma? say "lick my nuts." Yeah, that's all. That's all the joke! It is essentially the latest version of "bofa deez nuts". The term was not coined with the Ninja death hoax, because Urban Dictionary has an entry dating back to June 13, but this last case definitely propelled the word into consciousness. That would explain why almost everyone on Blevins' YouTube commentary talks about ligma:

He became so bad that Blevins had to ban the word ligma from his conversation, though he probably is not sure yet to see it. The joke has spread so that people generally try to err in asking which ligma is:

At this point, Blevins has agreed that his fans are obsessed with the ligma, and started telling him jokes:

while leagues are spreading, internet users are also starting to switch to other similar types of jokes that people might not know in an effort to keep things cool. (As the sugma – as in, "suck my nuts.") But even if the internet is moving away and forget about ligma, the fact that it happened is cementing all the status of Blevins on the internet: you know that you are great when people make up death hoaxes about you.
