Vinnie Paul was officially put to rest last Saturday, July 30 at 3:33 pm with friends and family in Arlington, Texas. Among those who spoke at Vinnie's funeral were Grim Reaper guitarist Nick Bowcott, one of Vinnie's idols and his brother Dime, KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, SiriusXM Liquid Metal's Jose Mangin and Paul Shortino of Rough Cutt. Vinnie was then buried in a KISS Kasket as her brother, right next to her brother at the Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.
A who's who of heavy metal came forward for the services, including Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Disturbed David Draiman, Chris Adler of Lamb of God, Charlie Benante of Diana. Anthrax, Chris Jericho of Fozzy, among others
The public memorial took place the next day at 3 pm: 33h (Vinnie and Dime had something to do) and video messages from Ozzy Osbourne, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains, and Cameron Mall of Pearl Jam / Soundgarden
Phil Anselmo also t in a quick video message, keeping it short and sweet: "Vince, always have to Love in my heart for you, man Rest in peace. "
