Players have started reporting problems using basic online services on their PS4 console tonight.
Sony confirmed that large areas of the PlayStation Network were down
This includes account management, login, gaming and social services, PlayStation Music, Vue, Now and PlayStation Store.
Fortunately for fans, all this is part of the planned maintenance, which means that there is no D after Sony, PSN maintenance will begin around 11am and will last about two hours, before ending at 1am, your local time zone.
This maintenance will affect all major Sony platforms, including PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
Here is the latest news from Sony, which confirms: "Anyone who already has an account can still connect to their PlayStation Network profile, play games, and use most applications, and maintenance is done.
"You will not be able to access PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, PlayStation Music, account management, games and social networks, PlayStation Now and PlayStation Vue during this maintenance.
