Before this weekend, I had never really paid much attention to Rebel Wilson.

When the tweet that quoted it surfaced, a number of black women proposed corrections and said that Latifah and Mo'Nique were there first. Rebel Wilson ignored each and every one of them.

That was his way of putting them in their shoes. This continued throughout the weekend. The black women approached her and she quickly blocked them. When white women said the same thing, they responded politely, if at all, but they did not block them.
Playwright Claire Willett wrote a pbadionate thread on Twitter lovingly explaining to Rebel where she had cheated.

It's weird because Wilson says she does not want to disrespect anyone, but she continues to block black women who tell her the same thing in the same tone.
She blocked the black women with the exception of Mo'Nique, who also contacted her on Twitter.
"Hey, sweet sister. Do not allow this company to erase our talent by giving gray areas and technical details. Take a moment and know the story. DO NOT be part of the erasure. I wish you the best, "wrote Mo'Nique.
"Hello Monique, I have never intended to erase the exploits of anyone else and I love you so much, you and Queen Latifah, x so much I support all the great ladies and all that we do it in a positive way, "replied Wilson.
His words and actions do not match. Early Monday morning, she had blocked so many black and brown people that it had become a huge game to see who she would then block.
If Rebel Wilson really wanted to raise all plus size women, she would not do her best to silence the voices of those who do not have the same skin color as hers.
Blocking all black and brown voices that have tried to reason on Twitter shows the true intention behind his first comment on Ellen and subsequent comments on Twitter.
Rebel Wilson does not think black plus size brown women matter. They are not in the same category as her. They are different and in his eyes they should be treated as such.
And that's exactly what she's doing.
It's hard to understand how she can think this bodes well for her new movie. She destroys all good will towards her with her disgusting actions right now. It has taken an incredibly dramatic 72 hours for her, and it is getting worse as she continues to worsen.
She does all this and has built an angry reputation.
All because apologizing to black women was far too complicated.
For shame.
