Report: Spice Girls to meet for a tour, but without Beckham

LONDON (AP) – A report says that Spice Girls are about to give fans what they really want: a meeting.

The Sun newspaper announced Saturday that the group of girls of the 1990s was about to announce a new tour, but without the original member, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham.

According to the newspaper, the group recorded a message that will air on Monday, announcing a tour of the 2019 UK stadium.

Besides Beckham, who is a successful fashion designer, the lineup includes Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm, Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown and Geri "Ginger Spice" Horner.

The band was a 1990s phenomenon with hits including "Wannabe" and "Viva Forever". They performed as a quartet for two years after Horner left the band in 1998, split in 2000 and last met at the 2012 London Olympics.
