Ben Healy, originally from Kilruane, is one of eight players who were added to The Greencore Munster Rugby Academy prior to 2018 The semifinal, which allowed Glenstal Abbey to win a first historic success in 2018, is one of the first year's recruits, along with Thomas Ahern (Park Aquatic), Diarmuid Barron (Garryowen), Jack Daly (Garryowen), James French (UCC), Sean French (PBC), Eoghan Clarke (Wanderers) and Jonathan Wren (PBC).

Alan Tynan of Roscrea progressed in the second year of the Academy with Craig Casey (Scrumhalf / Shannon), Liam Coombes (Back / Garryowen), Keynon Knox (Prop / UL Bohs), James McCarthy (Defender / UL Bohs), Alex McHenry (Center / Con Cork), Matt More (Center / Garryowen), Jack O. Sullivan (Back Row / UCC) and Jack Stafford (Scrumhalf / Shannon).

The recruits of year 3 are Gavin Coombes (Backrow / Young Munster), Shane Daly (Center / Cor k Con), and Sean O 'Connor (Lock / Garryowen).

Three Academy players have already joined the senior ranks this summer with Calvin Nash, Liam O'Connor and Player of the Year at the Fineen Academy Wycherley all promoted to Johan Graan's configuration.
