The Honda 150-MPH V2 Mower mower mows the Duke's lawn to Goodwood

The Mean Mower V2 will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but before that, Honda has put the mower to work by trimming the lawn at the Duke of Richmond's estate in preparation for the event.

With 190 horsepower under the hood and a maximum lawn mower speed of 50 miles per hour, it probably did not take very long, even with rolling cameras.

The original Mean Mower set a Guinness Book record in 2014 reaching a top speed of 116.6 MPH, but was defeated a year later by a group of crazy Norwegians who put a Corvette engine into a Viking T5 mower and ran it at 133.6 mph.

This second iteration of the mower is even more incredible. It derives its energy from a 999cc four-cylinder out of a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP motor – an engine that produces 189 horsepower at 13,000 rpm and 86 lb-ft of torque.

With the Fireblade unit mounted on the chbadis of the HF 2622 riding mower, Honda estimates that it will be at least 150 mph. The Mean Mower also uses the Fireblade clutch, the ECU, the six-speed transmission and even its LCD screen. If that were not enough, it features 10-inch wheels dipped in anodized gold and wrapped in specially designed Hoosier racing tires.
