A vast and dangerous anti-extraterrestrial conspiracy strikes in the first trailer of Supergirl ] season 4. It seems that the people of the National City may have been tired of seeing their city ravaged by battles between powerful aliens.
Supergirl has always been a very socially conscious spectacle, and over the past three seasons, the series has explored a wide range of social issues. A few days ago, the show officially cast the former student of Smallville Sam Witwer, under the agent's name Liberty, leader of a hate group who believes in human superiority. They are fighting to recover their country against humans, and this cause will cause them to collide head-on with Supergirl and its allies. It's not difficult to see the metaphors of the real world.

The first trailer of Supergirl season 4 gave Agent Liberty the perfect opportunity to aerate his sinister ideology. It's a clever trailer, which connects scenes from previous seasons and reminds viewers how many disasters National City has endured due to various extraterrestrial invasions. The most disturbing aspect of the trailer, however, is the way she effortlessly moves shots of the bad guys towards brief clips of the heroes. It's a reminder that Agent Liberty does not distinguish between "good" extraterrestrials and "bad", and that he is as opposed to Supergirl as to Reign. Perhaps more troubling, in Supergirl the president of the United States is himself secretly an extraterrestrial.
The trailer ends with an amazing overview of a black Supergirl. Season 3 came to an end with another Kryptonian gondola landing in Russia, and revealed that the person inside was a perfect duplicate for Kara. Showrunners Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller have explained that much of the season 4 arc will be drawn from the comics of Superman: Red Son who have imagined another origin for the # 39; Steel Man in which his group had landed. Russia. This Dark Supergirl may be badigned to undermine the United States, perhaps by acting as another alien terrorist, perhaps by helping the Children of Liberty. After all, the ideologue could easily justify himself, claiming that he [traduction] " established a thief to catch a thief ."
Fortunately for Kara, she will have new allies to help in the battle against the Children of Liberty and its mysterious new nemesis. Nicole Maines will join the cast as dreamer superhero Dreamer, the first transgender superhero in film or television. Meanwhile, David Ajala is preparing to become the British telepathic anti-hero Manchester Black. These new friends will give Kara the benefit she needs.
