If you've ever wondered what a naked Skittle looks like, you're in the right place.
Skittles have been known to play tricks on our taste buds in the past. But now, the candy has become totally cheesy across the pond … and it's not the taste that's different this time around. Now they have abandoned the hull and have a brand new look.
March Wrigley Confectionary recently announced the launch of a product called Skittles Chewies in the UK. These are the same adorable sweets – but with more chewing and none of the outside crunch. The treats debuted alongside unpacked Starburst minis, that look really, really similar.
This is not the first time the brand has created something new with its two most popular fruity treats. Last year, Mars released packs of Starbursts and Skittles with a little heat.
This time, however, Internet candy fans just do not know what to think. Is a Skittle without a hull really a Skittle, a round Starburst or another treat?
"I'm not sure, they look strange," wrote a puzzled instagramer.
"But … the shell is great," commented another.
Some Skittles fans are thrilled with the innovation and, after tasting, have declared it as a real winner.
A couple of tweeters tasted the shell-less sweets, as well as the new Starburst minis and were pleasantly surprised.
But some reactions from Facebook have made it clear that some people will never accept a bad Skirt.
"It's a no," writes a person with a "Star Wars" Chewbacca GIF shaking his head energetically.
"Seriously, these are called Starburst", another person posted.
Now, we just want to know, what will the world do if M & M is without a shell ?!
