Vettel tops the standings as Hamilton struggles for the final session of the Hungarian GP

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton started in the finals for the Hungarian Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel leading the overall standings.

Hamilton, who has 17 points ahead of Vettel, was fourth, half a second slower than his rival Ferrari

Valtteri Bottas, in the Mercedes, also took off at the chicane after turning 180 degrees before making a slight contract with barriers.

The Finn was given the all-clear to continue by his Mercedes team, and finished the race one day. One hour within six hundredths of Vettel's best time.

Kimi Raikkonen was third, 0.203 seconds behind his team-mate Ferrari.

Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen finished fifth and sixth for Red Bull.

Fernando Alonso was 14th for McLaren, 2.3 seconds behind the pace, while his teammate Stoffel Vandoorne was 17th out of the 20 riders.
