Isaiah Moss, a three-year guard at Iowa, will be transferred to another Division I school for his final season, he told the registry on Thursday.

Moss, who has been part of the Hawkeye program for four seasons, is looking for a graduate transfer, which makes him eligible right away.

Moss said he was not yet ready to conduct media interviews on the subject.

"I would like to thank my teammates and my coaches, as well as all the fans, for being there for me," said Moss in a press release issued by the university. "The last four years have been a great experience."

The 6-foot-5 Chicago native started all 35 Iowa games this season, averaging 9.2 points per game on a 42.1-percent shot on a 3-point arc. He averaged 11.1 points in his second year.

Moss tested the NBA process a year ago, but chose not to take this step this spring.

The departure of Moss leaves to Iowa coach, Fran McCaffery, three open scholarships for next season. Striker Power Tyler Cook declared for the NBA draft after leading the Hawkeyes scoring (14.5) and bouncing (7.6) in his junior season. In addition, the reserve, Maishe Dailey, has announced its intention to travel to Akron.

That leaves leader Jordan Bohannon and center Ryan Kriener the only seniors on the Iowa team next year.

The Hawkeye finished 23-12 this winter, retiring in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Moss had 16 points in his last game as Hawkeye, an overtime loss to Tennessee.

247Sports David Eickholt and Jeff Goodman of Stadium were among the first to announce the news of the transfer.
