Square Enix has revealed people who own Final Fantasy XIV: A Reborn Kingdom may request temporarily a free copy of the Heavensward expansion. If people who own the basic game on PlayStation 4 or on a PC can get a free digital copy of the first expansion until June 27, 2019. This campaign runs parallel to a free login campaign that will end on June 17, 2019.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is the first extension of the game. Once people have understood it, they have the opportunity to create a character Au Ra and assume positions of astrologer, black knight or machinist. This also introduces people to the Ishgard city-state. New places, a new story and flying mounts have also appeared here.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4 and PC. The Shadowbringers, the next extension, will be released on July 2, 2019.
