Islanders fans welcome John Tavares to Long Island

John Tavares, who had left the New York Islanders for the Toronto Maple Leafs last summer as a free agent, returned to the Nassau Coliseum for the first time Thursday night and was greeted by placards of protest, jerseys discarded and fans burning his equipment under the sign of the effigy:
