POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – Idaho State University will add alcohol service to home football games at Holt Arena this fall, starting with the opener on September 4.

Alcoholic beverages will be served at three locations inside the arena and limited to a maximum of two drinks per person in a single transaction.

The University has also introduced a Fan Code of Conduct to foster a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all clients and student-athletes. The Idaho State Fan Code of Conduct is available for review online at isu.edu/tickets.

During the home opener football game, the State of Idaho will also be implementing a no-re-entry policy for fans and spectators. After entering Holt Arena for ISU football matches, Bengal fans will not be allowed to leave the site and return during the match.

As a reminder, transparent bags will also be required. Guests will be limited to one approved clear bag each, plus a small pouch, purse, or wallet for privacy. All bags, handbags and items entering the site are subject to security screening. If you don’t need an item for the event, consider leaving it at home or in your vehicle. There is an exemption for diaper bags and medical supplies.

“We are excited to be able to expand the services available to fans at Holt Arena and will continue to work to improve our facilities, services and environment on game days in a variety of ways,” said Idaho State athletic director, Pauline Thiros.

Clear bags will be provided at the Idaho Central Credit Union’s first home football game of the season. Throughout the football season, the varsity bookstore will also sell clear bags outside the arena.

Face coverings are mandatory inside campus, including Holt Arena and Reed Gymnasium, for all people, regardless of their immunization status.
