Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was arrested as part of the mbadive Malaysian Investment Fund scandal 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), created in 2009 by Najib and centrally major cases of fraud, recycling and corruption. Najib, 65, was the subject of an investigation a few months ago and the Malaysian authorities had prevented him from leaving the country. In spite of his judicial troubles, Najib presented himself at the last elections, held in May, as a candidate of the National Front, a coalition that ruled Malaysia for 61 years and whose leadership since 2009 Najib: Elections were won by the opposition. The charges against him will be formalized tomorrow, according to his lawyers
