I wanted to win. We raised the mail because we were expecting a mbadive auction. On the other hand, even the prospective foreign buyer has not manifested himself
And now what will happen to Valtur?
We are now evaluating how to carry out all the activities that support the brand. In any case, it will start from 2019.
It will not be easy to restart it and important investments will be needed …
Nicolaus invests every year in an important way and we are not scared at all.
Then in 2019, Valtur starts again. Do you have as many villages as you put on the ground?
Some evaluations are underway, but we plan to offer 15 Valtur brand structures and 15 Nicolaus brand structures on the market. Two separate products without the big crowded. I think of a well-defined project with a balanced path.
Until a month ago, none of you thought of Valtur. What has happened in recent weeks?
That's right, we did not think about it. Then we took the record and after 2 days of total immersion, it was decided to participate. Because Valtur will be our accelerator of growth. Now we are convinced.
Nicolaus and Valtur will not have to walk on their feet. A good challenge?
The risk exists, we do not hide it, but we know where we come from and we will work to clarify the product difference to everyone. Now we have the most recognized brand in Italy in the business and we must bring it back to the top
Will it be difficult to convince travel agencies?
See that Valtur has always suffered from a financial point of view. The rebirth is obviously possible with different characteristics
Some newspapers have titled today: "Battuta Alpitour" …
I do not want to hear about the grudge in the Alps, they might have a more "defensive" idea of Valtur. They might think of keeping it in the drawer, while we have a more "offensive" plan. That said, there is great respect for the Torino group and no one thinks it is against us.
