New national quantitative targets for energy saving e
new guidelines for the preparation, execution and
evaluation of energy efficiency projects
It was published in the Official Gazette no. 158 of the 10th of July
2018 on the decree
Ministry of Economic Development 10 May 2018
on " Amendment and update of the decree 11 January 2017,
concerning the determination of quantitative objectives
the national energy savings that need to be pursued
energy and gas distribution companies for
the years from 2017 to 2020 and for the approval of new lines
Guide for the preparation, execution and evaluation of
energy efficiency projects "
The decree takes into consideration:
- the 2017 National Energy Strategy (Ministerial Order of the
economic development November 10, 2017); - Cumulative economy national goal for final energy
(Article 7 (1) and (1a) of Legislative Decree No 102/2014), even
25.5 million tons of oil equivalent
final, to achieve in the years 2014 to 2020, - the particularly high performance of Italy
energy efficiency, with an energy intensity of around
100 toe per million euros of GDP in 2015, well below
European average of 120 toe per million euros of GDP - Energy efficiency targets
promotional tools that speed up the introduction of products,
more efficient buildings, vehicles or services, - actions to be undertaken from 2020 and later
count the energy savings of all
main instruments for the promotion of
efficiency - the relevance of the mechanism of white certificates for the purpose of
achievement of goals until 2020.
Attached the text of the decree with the attachments
(Appendix 1 which contains TABLE 1 – Types of interventions
and Annex 2 with TABLE 1 – List of Projects
