On Saturday morning, gunmen attacked a midwifery clinic in Jalalabad, a city in eastern Afghanistan, detonating bombs and firing shots: at least three people were killed and eight others injured. Several students and medical staff who were in the clinic immediately managed to escape, but others were stranded in the building for several hours, until the Afghan security forces take back control of the establishment. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, although several recent attacks in eastern Afghanistan have been perpetrated by the Islamic State (ibid.). ISIS).
