Rivian R1T, the electric pickup with a range of over 640 km

Rivian unveils the first images of R1T, the electric pickup that will be showcased in the coming days at the Los Angeles Motor Show and on the market starting at $ 61,500, with deliveries expected by the end of 2020. The US startup will exploit the event California to also present the SUV derived from pickup with similar performance. R1T is built on a modular platform and is long 5.47 meters, with an innovative design that integrates with LED light groups which develop horizontally. The boot is large and includes a 330-liter front compartment and a 350-liter cross compartment behind the badpit, as well as a spare wheel and a 200-liter under-floor compartment.

The interior uses a minimal setting and is controlled by two screens, a 15.6-inch touch screen infotainment system and one of the 12.3-inch digital dashboard, in addition touch at the back. The materials used include durable wood, while the high-wear areas of the cabin are endowed with durable and innovative materials that are easy to clean.

Rivian R1T is pushed by four electric motors arranged on each wheel by 147 kW (200 hp) and unloaded on the ground by four driving wheels. Buyers can choose from three different battery configurations: 105 kWh (370 km of autonomy), 135 kWh (480 km of autonomy) e 180 kWh (approximately 640 km of range), with a maximum speed of 200 km / h, with a towing capacity of 5,000 kg. Each variant will support the fast charge to 160 kW, value that will recover about 320 km in 30 minutes. In addition, an 11 kW charger is provided inside. Once on the market, the pickup will have a dedicated package level 3 self-help guide and equipped with Lidar sensors, cameras, radar, ultrasound and GPS.
