The complaint is essential to celebrate the trial because, following the amendment of the penal code entered into force with the Gentiloni government, the judiciary can no longer continue its work for the crime of embezzlement. The League had until the end of November to bring a lawsuit. Otherwise, the trial would have ended with the declaration of impossibility. The sentences handed down by the Court in July of last year would therefore have been annulled: 2 years and 3 months imprisonment for Umberto Bossi, 1 year and 6 months for Renzo. Bossi and 2 years and 6 months in Belsito.

Doubt about the extensibility of both Bossi

Matteo Salvini has asked his lawyers to only prosecute the former treasurer, not Senatur and his son, for whom, in principle, the debate should not take place.
