Giuseppe Varriale is sentenced to 4 years and 8 months imprisonment for the death of his former girlfriend, Alessandra Madonna, aged 24 and from Melito (Naples). She lost her life between September 7 and 8, 2017.

Alessandra was taken to Mugnano (Naples) after being dragged by her car.

Varriale was defended by lawyers Raffaele Chiummariello and Nicola Pomponio. The parents of Alessandra had formed a civil party badisted by lawyers Celestino Gentile, Giovanni Battista Vignola and Alessandro Caserta.

Moments of tension at the Court of Naples North, in Aversa (Caserta), after reading the sentence: the father of the victim, after the verdict, insulted himself against the judge: "this is not not justice, they killed him twice "".

Alessandra's mother, Olimpia Cacace, instead locked herself in a courtroom and then tried to jump off the balcony. The entertaining was a Mediaset chronicle to which the woman said: "This is not justice, the magistrate must come here and I have to excuse myself". The journalist intervened by asking a lawyer to search for the magistrate. "I threw myself, 4 years and 8 months gave him, – says the woman to the reporter – not even a beast". In the meantime, prison officers managed to break through the door and block the woman before she flung herself into the void.
