The mayor of Virginia, Virginia Raggi, arrived just before midnight in the Casamonica family quarters in Quadraro, where operations – coordinated by Rome's local police – will begin the demolition of the last abusive building.
The bulldozer entered for the first time in the presence of Raggi last Wednesday. After the destruction of the last houses, the operations will continue with the removal of materials and the rehabilitation of the area. On the spot also the commander of the local police of Rome, Antonio Di Maggio.
