The Ministry of Economic Development has authorized two companies in the group to operate in the Italian maritime transport market.
Both companies are Amazon Italy Logistics and Amazon Italy Transport and recently, they were allowed to perform maritime transport services in the national territory, after being listed on the special list held by the Ministry and become competitors of Poste Italiane.
The issue had been raised months ago byAuthority for Communications Guarantees, which fined Amazon $ 300,000, recognizing the company's abusive activity in the parcel delivery process and logistics-related activities in the interregional hubs and Amazon Logistic stores.
Therefore, Amazon can now legitimately track (and manage) the entire supply chain: Amazon Italia Logistica and Amazon Italia Transport must, however, comply with the legislation in force which, for companies listed on the MSE postal operator list, is subject to an equal tax. to 1.4 per thousand of earnings and a rule adjustment for workers.
