On the Boeing 777 Turkish Airlines pbadengers thrown seats for the "crash" with a disturbed area 45 minutes from the landing of Jfk Airport
NEW YORK – A violent air turbulence has seriously undermined a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to New York. At New York 's Kennedy Airport, ambulances at the request of pilots had to attend 30 injured pbadengers, including one with a broken leg, and many others with more or less serious injuries. . After nearly 10 hours of flight, when the turbulence hit the plane, many pbadengers and crew members had not buckled up their seat belts.
Airport spokesman Steve Coleman said 28 pbadengers had been transferred to the Jamaican hospital 's medical center in Queens after the plane landed at 5:35 pm Saturday. Two others were admitted to the Queens Hospital Medical Center. An attendant on board was injured in the leg: the pilot stated that the turbulence had hit the plane while he was flying to Maine 45 minutes from landing in New York. The pilots immediately declared the emergency on the Boeing 777.
One of the pbadengers stated that "no one had warned us of anything, I suddenly saw some pbadengers literally flying down the hall, there was blood everywhere, one of the women sitting next to me fell to the ground from her seat, she was wounded, she was covered with blood everywhere ".
Many pbadengers sitting without a seat belt were thrown upwards, violently banging their heads against the luggage compartments. The New York Airport Authority stated that the airport operations were not interrupted and that they were able to proceed without significant delay: the aircraft was directed to an area where ambulances were brought to arrive. Turkish Airlines said that there were 326 pbadengers and 18 crew members in the plane and took care to follow them to the hospitals where they were admitted.
