The government has predicted that auto incentives will be back in 2019, but there are no details yet.

the Promoters Studies Center has advanced its proposal: a bonus of 2,000 euros plus a discount of 2,000 euros to all those who in 2019, will buy a new car while discarding a used car over 10 years.

All this not only for free, but with an increase in the Treasury's revenue and a positive impact on GDP growth. This is the proposal of new incentives to the demolition proposed to the Government by the Centro Studi Promotor during the press conference that took place today in Milan on "The situation and prospects of the Italian economy and the automotive market ".

The basis of Centro Studi Promotor's proposal is the first incentives for demolition in force in 1997and that, he recalls, "has achieved excellent results without burdening the state, as the increase in VAT revenues and registration taxes for cars sold more than fully covered the cost of the premium, left the Treasurer net income of Lit. 1,400 billion (Euro 723 million) and contributed 0.4%, as certified by the Bank of Italy, to the GDP growth ".

If the proposal of the Promotor Study Center for 2019 was accepted, the recovery of the bonus billed to the state (2,000 euros) would be largely guaranteed, knowing that today, according to Unrae, the average price of Purchase of a car is 21.020 euros including 3.790 of VAT.

"Our proposal – said Gian Primo Quagliano, president of Centro Studi Promotor – It is not motivated by the need to support car sales because the car market, even though it has not yet reached the physiological level, is in good health. Our proposal is motivated by the need to support drivers, often low-income, who own a car with more than 10 years of service and who need to replace it to avoid traffic restrictions imposed for environmental reasons.".
