Couple arrested in Belgium, preparing an attack in France – Europe

Belgian police arrested a Belgian couple of Iranian origin suspected of attempted murder because it was organizing an explosive attack in France, in Villepinte, at a conference held last Saturday by the mujahideen of the Iranian people. The couple was arrested on Saturday and the police found 500 grams of explosive Tatp and a detonator in their car.

According to the Belgian media, the couple of Belgian origin resides in Wilrijk, a town near Antwerp. Saturday was intercepted aboard the car by police in Brussels in a district of the capital and was arrested after the discovery of the explosive. Meanwhile, an alleged accomplice was arrested in France and interrogated two more people, while in Germany, a contact with a couple was interrupted, an Iranian diplomat working at the embbady in Vienna.
