ROCCA PIETORE – This morning, around 10:40, the alarm was triggered for one of the participants in the mountain race Marmolada Historic Trail: the athlete was registered on the long road of 21 km that Pbado Fedaia reached the Padon refuge through the premises of the First World War. He had a heart attack that did not leave him an issue.

Marco Cantù, 57 years old, residing in Dosolo in the province of Mantua, had left Pbado Fedaia: in the race he had felt bad at the height of the wall of Porta Vescovo and had collapsed to the ground. Coincidentally shortly after him, a daughter belonging to the Alpine Rescue had it immediately reached and, having evaluated the conditions, had called 118.

But when the situation got worse, the rescuer began practicing resuscitation maneuvers with other people who had come, as long as the AIut Alpine Dolomites helicopter did not come into operation. had not arrived. After landing on the spot, the medical staff took charge of the emergency procedures, unfortunately only after finding the death of the athlete. The recovered body was then transported to Arabba, along with the Carabinieri and the Livinallongo Alpine Rescue.
