The letter explained that the lady owed the company at least 3,200 pounds and that in dying she had broken the rules.
After the complaint to her husband's BBC, PayPal apologized for the aggressive tone of the letter: it was not at all consistent, especially since it was addressing a widower. For this reason, the company has canceled the debt of the woman. "We apologize to Mr. Durdle for the distress this letter has caused and we are dealing with this matter urgently, we are in full contact with the widower to support him," reports the company. Among the causes that have led to misunderstanding, the most likely seems to be the automatic transmission caused by an error in the site management system. Or a human error.
