Hydrogen, Air Liquide expands its network of stations in California

Determined to expand its network in the United States, Liquid air will invest $ 150 million to build the first production unit of liquid hydrogen. In connection with the provision of its network of stations in California, the company has signed an agreement with FirstElement Fuel (FEF) to meet the growing needs of the hydrogen mobility market in the same state, in addition to develop electric vehicles powered by hydrogen.

The plant will be built from early 2019 and will have a production capacity of close to 30 tons of hydrogen per day, an amount that will provide 35,000 electric cell vehicles that will become fuel 40,000 by 2022 here. In addition to the mobility and transport markets, the structure will also provide other sectors, such as materials handling, forklifts and heavy vehicles.

Supported by Toyota and Honda, which are currently producing production models such as Clarity Fuel Cell and Mirai, FirstElement Fuel will provide Air Liquide with the opportunity to strengthen its relationship with the two manufacturers with a view to setting up new and improved products. a solid infrastructure for hydrogen supply.
