Founded in 1908 by Camillo Olivetti, the industrial city of Ivrea represents a typical industrial and socio-cultural project of the 20th century: most of Ivrea's development took place in the period of the '30s and' 60s. the management of Adriano Olivetti, a period in which the Olivetti company produced typewriters, mechanical calculators and computers, with urban buildings designed by some of the most famous Italian architects and town planners of this period
