Hundreds of people wearing red T-shirts, who joined the initiative promoted yesterday by Libera, Anpi, Arci and Legambiente in favor of the reception of migrants, have received last night in Messina the Irish military ship Samuel Beckett with 106 migrants aboard the Nuremberg wharf

The first aid operations were coordinated by the Messina prefecture, with the collaboration of the Capitaneria, the forces of order, Red Cross and voluntary badociations. Of the migrants 93 men, 11 minors and two women, one of whom is pregnant. The first relief seems to have occurred in the Sar Lib area during the night of 4-5 July, a few hours after the departure of Garabulli's boat.

The Irish patrol, after carrying out the rescue, asked: in Rome permission to disembark the migrants, and the Viminal arrived the indication of Messina .

"After having stopped the boats of the NGOs, I will bring to the European table in Innsbruck the Italian request to block the arrival in Italian ports of international mission ships currently present in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately the Italian governments of the last 5 years had signed agreements (in exchange of what?) As all these ships were landing immigrants in Italy, with our government, the music has changed and will change. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, who will participate next week in the first summit of EU's internal ministers during the semester of the Austrian presidency.
