The Libyan Coast Guard, on its Facebook page, denounces a troubling incident that they believe would have led a boat a week ago by the Spanish NGO Proactiva Open Arms
"The organization – reads in the post published today – has still harbaded one of our patrols, the ship Ras Jedir, trying to stir up illegal immigrants against the Coast Guard, "a kind of action that, according to them, would occur "usually."
took place on Sunday, June 24, during a rescue of 490 people.A ship of Proactiva Open Arms – they report – reportedly sent two inflatable boats to bring an action disturbing. "The crew – they write – was afraid that a migrant could jump overboard while the ship was moving or that the ship was breaking the chaos."
To support of the post, the Libyan Coast Guard released a video in fact we see a boat filled with migrant and, in the distance, a maneuvering boat. Now, say the Libyans, "this organization will produce news to condemn the coastguards, especially after the great successes achieved in rescuing illegal migrants in the days that follow."
"To this organization and their counterparts – they conclude – say we still have patience and wisdom, but that does not mean we can not handle these troubling actions."
