Odyssey for 190 passengers from Bergamo to Lampedusa: 30 hours late

BERGAMO – They had to take off at 10:40 yesterday morning from the airport Orio al Serio in Lampedusa, but 190 pbadengers are still on the ground due to a breakdown: the flight of the Spanish company Volotea was postponed for the sixth time at 17 hours today, with a delay of more than 30 hours . There were no moments of tension at the airport of Orobico because the pbadengers were furious.

Not only that: because of the fault, the plane had to change plane and 27 fewer seats, so many pbadengers. they will stay on foot. Everyone is also seen to offer a refund of the flight or, alternatively, the flight to Fiumicino from where they can be transported to Lampedusa but only on Wednesdays. Last night, the 190 pbadengers spent it at the hotel in Linate at the expense of the company.

Yesterday, the flight was delayed earlier at 11:40, then at 15:00, 18:30 and 20:00. At 10 pm, exhausted pbadengers were transferred to Linate by bus. This morning, they were warned that the flight would take off at 16:30, then the takeoff was postponed again to 17 hours. The tension increased already in the morning, while only 55 pbadengers, how many could stay on a single bus, are transferred from the hotel Linate to Orio. Halfway they were informed that the bus would bring them back, but in fact a riot broke out and the bus continued up to the airport of Bergamo. Subsequently, the other pbadengers were also transferred to Orio
