Where is the Italian? What is the fate of our language with the net? Monday, October 22, will be held at Villa Madama the third edition of the Estates General of the Italian language in the world. The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Education, the Crusca Academy and the Embbady of the Swiss Confederation. The chosen theme is the same as the XVIIIth Week of the Italian Language in the World (15-21 October): "Italian and Network, Networks for Italian". This is a subject that offers on the one hand the opportunity to reflect on the evolution of our language on computer platforms and the potential educational and didactic related to the network, on the other hand to value the different "physical networks" who broadcast our language. abroad (Italian cultural institutes, Italian schools, chairs in foreign universities, committees of the Dante Alighieri society, as well as the network of Italian nationals abroad).
After the opening session, which will be attended by Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi, will be presented data on the dissemination of the Italian language in the world and the reports of three working groups, one on the unique certification of the language and the other on the Italian training system in the world and one on language promotion strategies and related country plans. The conclusion, scheduled for 5 pm, will be made by the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Guglielmo Picchi.
