Sicily is on its knees because of the severe weather. Tonight we have consumed a tragedy shocking. In a few moments, a river of water submerged a house and completely submerged it. An entire family in a villa in Casteldaccia, in the province of Palermo, was completely submerged and killed. Nine people among the grandparents, parents and children drowned in the flooded parts of Milicia, swollen by the rains. In those hours, it was found that the disappearance is a state of shock. Salvatore D'Amato, 21, was admitted to Palermo City Hall.
Missing in Corleone
In Corleone, a forty-year-old doctor, Giuseppe Liotta, has disappeared. He lost track after leaving his car on an impbadable road due to flooding. Saturday night, he should take the service, but because of the floods, he could not reach the village and abandoned his car, perhaps to try to escape on foot.
The tragedy affected Monreale, where a landslide touched a building inhabited by eight families who managed to leave it in time. Heavy rains also affected Agrigento, where the Akragas River was flooded and floods poured into the village district of Peruzzo. About 50 families have been evacuated.
Other deaths in the province of Agrigento
