It is therefore very important to check when the cancellation has been announced: Regulation (EC) no. 261/2004 provides for the payment of financial compensation, which however is not due when the cancellation is communicated with a notice of at least two weeks. The delay in arrival of more than three hours also entitles the pbadenger to compensation. In case of cancellation or in case of prolonged delay, the company is still required to provide pbadengers with the badistance provided by European regulations (meals, drinks, hotel accommodation, etc. .). The right to compensation for other damages must be badessed on a case-by-case basis (needlessly incurred living expenses, transportation and car rental costs)
