Forty-five kilograms of contraband cigarettes were seized by the finance police in two separate operations, completed at Ballarò and Bagheria. Also seized 600 euros, winning the sale of "blondes".
In particular, the green basques of the Pronto Impiego group of Palermo, during a check within the Ballarò market, arrested a 28-year-old who had put on sale for a stand seven kilograms of contraband cigarettes. Thanks to dogs from the canine unit, financiers found 17 kilos of cigarettes hidden in an adjacent room. The street vendor was tried directly and placed under house arrest.
The financiers of the Compagnia di Bagheria, in an operation conducted with the police, seized another twenty pounds of contraband cigarettes. A 50-year-old Palermo resident in Bagheria was arrested.
