(ANSA) – The Italian car market registered a sharp drop in June: registrations – according to figures from the Ministry of Transport – stood at 174,702, a decrease of 7.25% compared to the previous year. same month of 2017. In the first half, 1,120,829 cars were sold, or 1.45% less than at the same time last year.

During the same period, FCA sold 43,343 cars in Italy, 19.3% less than the same month of 2017. The share fell from 28.52 to 24.81%. In the first half, registrations amounted to 302,847, down 9.07%, while the share was 27.02% against 29.29%

"The results of June and the first half of the year weigh the group FCA favors sales to private customers rather than those on other significantly less profitable channels.Excluding data from the FCA Group, the Italian market is up slightly in the first half (+ 1.71%).
