Tourism, no vacation for 8 million Italians

(Teleborsa) – This summer, more than 8 million Italians will be forced to give up their holidays This is revealed by an investigation commissioned by Easy.it to the l '. mUp Research research institute, conducted on a representative sample of the adult population.

64% of those who will not leave will be forced to stay at home because of precarious economic conditions. Therefore 5.3 million Italians who can not afford holidays mainly households of 3 or 4 members and young people between 25 and 34 years of age

Nearly three quarters of the 35.5 million going on holiday will remain in Italy (73%) while will cross national borders only 18% of Italians . The average budget per capita is 1580 euros, but 52% of holidaymakers will not spend more than one thousand euros

The survey also reports a significant increase of insurance policies connected to the trip . During the first five months of 2018 claims increased by 30.4% over the same period of the previous year.
