Transfer of ownership for Leone's tablets

After 84 years, the Balla Monero family sold the shares of the property of Pastiglie Leone, a historic confectionery company in Turin, known worldwide for its confectionery. But the company will remain in the hands of a totally Italian pro-active company.

The story of Pastiglie Leone began in 1857 in Alba, where Luigi Leone opened his confectionery. The immediate success of the sales convinced Leone to move the factory to Turin, a few years later, making it one of the oldest Turin companies still existing. In 1928, Luigi's heirs then sold their shares to the Culbado family (later Calbado). who in turn sold the shares in 1934 to Giselda Balla Monero and his brother Celso. Over the past 84 years, the Balla Monero family has maintained its reins, at least until recently, when it was sold to new owners, charged with defending the value of a brand historic Made in Italy.
