Trapani, bad weather is not unpredictable: the justice of the peace convicts Ryanair

Bad weather does not exempt airlines from paying pbadengers for canceled flights or landing more than three hours late. That's what sentenced Alcamo's justice of the peace who gave reason to a pbadenger who had been denied reimbursement of 250 euros after arriving at the airport "Vincenzo Florio" from Birgi with more than three hours late at the scheduled time after takeoff, always late from Bergamo (Orio al Serio). The flight was Ryanair's "Milan-Trapani" of 14 June 2016.

The Irish airline refused the refund claiming that the delay was due to exceptional circumstances, namely bad weather. The pbadenger then turned to a lawyer, the Marseille lawyer Antonio Spanò, who sued for a refund. And the proceedings, now, ended with the conviction that recognized as "legitimate" the claims of the pbadenger, condemning Ryanair to the payment of 250 euros as compensation, as legal costs. For the judge, adverse weather conditions are not considered "exceptional" or unpredictable events
