Starting tomorrow, only e-tickets, but those who still have paper tickets can use them for a month. The "Daily" ticket for 4 euros was born
by JACOPO RICCA
From tomorrow on the bus and the tram, it will take " "also the single ticket that will cost 1.70 euros against the euro and half that is spent until today. This first Sunday in July is the last before the entry into force of the revolution: more traditional tickets to be erased, those who bought them will have another month to use them (same thing for the old notebook sent permanently) but new e-tickets, still paper but with a chip, to "bippare", as already done for subscriptions.
The Turinese for the moment are not yet accustomed to the revolution because it is available the new 80 000 smart card have been distributed, and until December 31, they will be free via the trade electronic. 50,000 validations for single tickets have been made up to date on the cards, while the old tickets with 5 tickets that will no longer used have recorded a sales spike, more than doubled compared to the same period it a year ago. The tickets will be called "chip on paper" and you will be able to download different types of tickets, but it will no longer be possible to buy them at the parking meters as it has been done so far. In addition to the single ticket that costs 20 cents more than before, but applies to the entire urban and suburban network (as well as a subway ride) and for 100 minutes, compared to 90 today (and allowing you to travel only on the urban network). The other big novelty, effective from tomorrow, is the new "Daily" ticket that will cost 4 euros (3 euros for those who have a smart card to recharge it) and that allows you to travel by subway, bus and tram without limit a whole day. On a smart card, since May, the Multi Daily can also be charged, which, for 17.50 euros, allows unlimited travel on GTP vehicles for 7 non-consecutive days, but can only be used with microchip.
For those who travel all day on vehicles, sporadically, the daily ticket saves money. If we take the multi per day and make two trips a day the cost is 1.35 euros, with three trips falling to 0.83 euros. To replace the notebook in the hearts of the Turinese, seen with the smoke of the eyes because it would favor the abusers, Gtt and the consultant to the Transports, Maria Lapietra concentrate much on the new daily formulas. "This is a solution that, in the main, rewards especially the usual pbadengers – explained the adviser when presenting new rates – those who travel by public transport several times a day: we hopefully, in this way, facilitate the use of the tram, bus and subway. "
The revolution affects not only the tickets, but also subscriptions "under 26" which are no longer valid only for students, but for all young people and "over 65" reserved for residents of Turin over 65 years. The sale in this case began last week, but everyone has been applying the Isee system, which is also valid for young people who have a regular lease or stay in a university college. The annual youth will cost from 158 to 258 €, while for the over 65, it will increase from 118 € (for those with an income of less than 12 000 € per year) to 310 €.
An important aspect, but not all considering the possibility of deducting part of the expenses incurred for subscriptions for an amount up to 250 euros from the tax return.
Tomorrow will be the reduction of "park & ride" fees, the ticket that allows you to leave "car in one of the parking lots of the exchange (Caio Mario, Stura and Venchi Unica) and take the vehicles all day with a single coupon. The price of this ticket will actually be 6 to 5 euros
