As planned, the plan provides for the transfer of Poland from the production of built-in washing machines and dryers: the Comunanza (Ap) site will become, for these products, the group's production division for the entire Emea region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The company also confirms the commitments made to complete the reindustrialisation of the Teverola (Ce) site and "relaunch of significant investments in the specialization of other Italian factories": Cbadinetta di Biandronno (Va), Melano (An), Siena, Naples and Carinaro (Ce).

The agreement (on the badumption of an agreement on the Whirlpool Industrial Plan for Italy for the three years 2019-2021) was signed at the table at the Ministry of Economic Development by the company, the unions, the representatives of the regional administrations concerned and by the Minister Luigi Di Maio.

As the company points out, Whirlpool is committed to "completing the process of consolidation and reinforcement of production sites in Italy already started with the 2015-2018 plan; pursue a sustainable strategy for Italy; plan new and significant investments of € 250 million in product, process and R & D innovation activities ".

Minister Di Maio welcomes the agreement he has reached: "As soon as we arrived at the government, we launched a tough fight against relocations.
