You can change the default policy for each individual external drive connected to Windows by using this procedure:

- Open the boot menu and type diskmgmt.msc followed by Enter
- In Disk Management Utility, choose the line relative to the removable drive you want to change, right-click on the left-side header (see screenshot). Screen below) and choose property
