Ivanka Trump was impeached on Tuesday in an ongoing trial of the Washington DC attorney general, who alleges embezzlement since President Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2017, new court documents show.

DC Attorney General Karl Racine sued Mr. Trump’s inaugural committee and the companies overseeing the Trump International Hotel in Washington in January, saying the non-profit inaugural committee coordinated with members of the Trump family paid too expensive for the event space in a way that enriched the assets. Racine says the inaugural committee knew it was paying above market prices and did not consider cheaper alternatives. The lawsuit, filed in DC Superior Court, alleges more than $ 1 million was wasted on irregular payments at the Trump Hotel for event space during the 2017 grand opening.

CNN first reported Ivanka Trump’s deposition.

Trump’s eldest daughter, as the president’s senior advisor, has been intimately involved in the inner workings of the White House and aided her father in the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns.
