While not as flashy a brand as Google or Apple, Jabra has quietly made some of the best wireless headphones you can buy today. Over the past few years, the Elite 65t, 75t and 85t sets have proven to be excellent everyday drivers, all without being tied to a single operating system. Jabra today announced three new pairs of headphones to choose from, with prices starting at just $ 79.
If you are looking for a quality pair of heads at as low a price as possible, the Elite 3 is for you. For under $ 80, they have 6mm speakers and four microphones for taking calls with crystal-clear sound quality. Jabra’s headphones are generally comfortable, and these shouldn’t be any different – plus, they’re available in a bunch of colors, including blue, gray, beige, and lilac. The heads will last seven hours on a single charge, with 28 hours of total playtime with the case. These are cheap enough to exceed most of Jabra’s sales on its heads, making them a must-have if you’re curious about the brand.
For those looking for a new set of high-end wireless headphones, the Elite 7 Pro and Active are also great options, albeit pricey. Pro Buds offer the best of the best, with a body 16% smaller than the Elite 75t. In addition to ANC, Jabra’s new MultiSensor Voice technology includes a built-in bone conduction sensor as well as four microphones to improve call quality compared to its latest generation headphones. A voice sensor separates you from your surroundings, while bone conduction uses vibrations from your jaw to add clarity to the call.
The Elite 7 Pro earphones offer nine hours of playback on a charge with ANC enabled and 35 hours in total from the charging case. This is one of the best battery ratings we’ve seen on any earphone outside of Sony’s XM4s – we’ll have to wait and see if it stands up to everyday use. They will cost $ 199 when they go on sale next month.
While the Elite 7 Active set may look like its Pro series cousin, Jabra has included a new liquid silicone rubber coating called “ShakeGrip”. It should keep its heads in your ears without the need for wing tips. They also feature mesh on the microphones to reduce wind noise during outdoor phone calls. At $ 179, they’re just a little cheaper than the top-of-the-line Pro series, while still retaining the ANC and the same nine hours of playtime.
The Elite 3s can be purchased starting tomorrow, while the Elite 7 Pro and Active series will launch on October 1. Despite a still crowded area for headphones, Jabra is a mainstay in this market. If these headphones are as good as they look, it will become even more difficult to choose your next wireless headset.
